Privacy Policy
We keep this short, plain, and honest. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Effective April 19, 2026
1. Who we are
Happy Stitch is operated by Angelenti, LLC (“Happy Stitch,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Ozark, Missouri, United States. We sell printed needlepoint canvases and related supplies through shophappystitch.com, our custom Design Studio, and our storefront on Shopify. This policy covers information we collect across all of those surfaces.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us when you register, place an order, or contact us — for example your email address, first name, shipping address, order notes, and any messages you send us.
- Design Studio content you upload, including images, custom configurations (size, mesh, palette), and intermediate outputs generated by our tools.
- Account and session data used to keep you signed in and linked to your designs — email verification tokens, browser session identifiers, and cookies or local-storage entries that remember you across visits.
- Order and payment data handled by Shopify on our behalf during checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken in the Design Studio, used for security, debugging, and analytics.
- Marketing preferences including whether you have opted in to promotional email.
3. How we use your information
- To fulfill your orders and deliver the canvases you purchase.
- To provide the Design Studio, including saving your designs, running AI-assisted stylization, and enforcing usage limits.
- To screen uploaded content for prohibited material (for example explicit imagery or recognizable third-party logos) so we can refuse to print it.
- To send transactional messages such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, and verification links. These are not marketing messages and cannot be opted out of for active orders.
- To send marketing email, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any marketing message.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and services, including fraud prevention and analytics.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with the following categories of vendors who help us run the business:
- Payments and storefront: Shopify, Inc.
- Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel, Railway, and Cloudflare (image and file storage via R2).
- AI processing: Stability AI, fal.ai, and Anthropic for optional style transfer and assistive features. Only the image you choose to stylize is sent to these providers.
- Content moderation: Sightengine and Google Cloud Vision for automated screening of uploaded images.
- Email delivery: Resend for transactional and marketing messages.
- Shipping: ShipStation or Pirate Ship and the carriers that deliver your order (e.g. USPS, UPS).
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale, or other business transaction.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser local-storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your cart, link your designs across devices, and measure how the site is used. You can clear them from your browser at any time; doing so will sign you out and unlink saved designs on that device.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep order records for as long as needed to support warranty, customer service, accounting, and legal obligations — typically at least seven years for tax purposes. Uploaded design images are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can reorder. You can ask us to delete your account and its contents at any time (see Section 7).
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your account and the designs associated with it. Some records (for example completed orders) may be retained as required by law.
- Opt out of marketing email at any time.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
Residents of California, Colorado, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have additional rights, including the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share personal information in that sense.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@shophappystitch.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
8. Children’s privacy
Happy Stitch is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including HTTPS everywhere, encrypted storage of sensitive values, access controls on our internal systems, and vendor agreements with the processors listed above. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top will change when we do. For material changes we will make a reasonable effort to notify you in advance by email or through a notice on the site.
